About

Yes, it’s a project for a class.  It’s also an opportunity for me to finally put to paper a lot of the thoughts I have as it relates to powerlifting.  But why “Two White Lights”, specifically?  Why not three?  Am I resigned to good enough?

No.

It’s an open admission that I can be better.  Every time that I walk into the gym I have an opportunity to explore that.  Can I be more efficient?  Can I improve my technique?  What about my mental game?  What is it that will make me one kilo better today?

It’s also a recognition that as a developing sport, powerlifting as a whole can also be better.  Whether its event logistics, athlete relations, or policy development, there are so many opportunities to strive for the same type of improvement within the sport each day.

Two White Lights is about the long game.  It’s about the journey.  It’s about process.  The third is always earned.
